Filming begins in Hollywood before moving to England's Lake District where Grace had lived while doing her research. When the screenwriter adapting the book accidentally dies by a hit-and-run driver, Grace is asked to step in.

And yet there's a sense that the reader has missed something, that the book would have been so much more meaningful, more enjoyable, had the first three books, or any of the previous books, been read before this one. Sign in to Purchase Instantly. Explore Now. Buy As Gift.

There was also one My initial thought on this book was "pity about the cover. There was also one semi-spoilery glaring plot hole. An almost total lack of cell phones. The plot centers around a group of Hollywood actors, yet in the many scenes in which one might expect to solve something through use of a cell phone--never happens.

This book, I presume, is the final book in a series which came out years after the first 3. To this end, I found that I did not remember some of the referenced people and cases in this story. Also, the author introduced a bunch of characters that were present on a film set at once and I found I couldn't keep track of them. Aside from this, the story did not hold my interest.
